Research in Prof. Kribus group currently focuses on three directions: solar energy conversion with a novel photo-thermionic process; advanced porous ceramic structures for solar volumetric receivers and for chemical reactors; and conversion and storage of solar energy with a thermo-electro-chemical cycle. Previous research projects included concentrating photovoltaics (CPV) cells and systems, thermodynamics of solar and hybrid power cycles, PCM thermal storage for solar power plants, and cogeneration of power and biofuels from biomass and solar energy.
