Tal Raviv is a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering as a part of the Faculty of Engineering at Tel Aviv University. Tal received a bachelor's degree in economics at Tel Aviv University (1993), a master's degree in business administration at Tel Aviv University (1997) and a doctorate in performance research at the Technion (2003). After his doctorate, he studied and taught at the School of Business Administration at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada (2006-2004) and then joined the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tel Aviv University. He published many articles in performance research journals and served as a consultant to start-up companies. His main field of research is the optimization of transportation and logistics systems and he heads the Shlomo Shemelzer Institute for Smart Transportation at Tel Aviv University.
