Enrollment Criteria, Faculty of Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering

Admissions to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, follows the protocol and requirements for admissions to Tel Aviv University. All details are listed here in the handbook: TAKANON

Students applying must have:

  1. A B.Sc. degree in Engineering or exact sciences from a recognized institution of higher education
  2. A minimum weighted GPA of 80. The minimum weighted average can vary from year to year and can depend on the background of the student and their knowledge base.
  3. Class ranking: the student must provide a certificate of their class ranking in the relevant department where they completed their undergraduate studies

In general, acceptance of studies is for a research track unless the student is part-time and then they can choose to complete the project track (without a thesis). Students must find an advisor prior to arrival to studies and no later than after semester 1 of studies is completed.

Students who do not fulfill the above requirement for application:

Students applying who do not have the above GPA, or are coming from other tracks (not electrical engineering), might be accepted to the Supplementary Stage (see details on curriculum tab) where they will need to take supplementary courses in the Department. They must complete those courses with a minimum of 70 GPA and a weighted combined average of 80.
