Call for Postdoctoral Fellow: The Digital Living 2030 Program

Tel Aviv University, in collaboration with Stanford University (CA, U.S.A.), is engaged in a research program called “Digital Living 2030” (DL`30). This research program aims to explore how our lifestyles will change beyond 2030, given the current digitalization of various operations and services and rapidly advancing technologies, such as machine learning and generative artificial intelligence. Tel Aviv University is excited to announce the call for a postdoctoral Fellowship for the Digital Living 2030 program. This Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for postdoctoral researchers to engage in research at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, operation research, industrial engineering and management science, electrical engineering, and computer science.

The Department of Industrial Engineering at Tel Aviv University is seeking outstanding candidates for tenured or tenure-track positions. Candidates with expertise in the following areas are of particular interest:

  1. Machine learning and data science
  2. Operations management and Optimization
  3. Human factors and human-computer interaction
  4. Decision-making and game theory
  5. Information systems
  6. Production and manufacturing
  7. Service management
  8. Supply chain management and logistics

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields. Preferably, they have some background in Industrial Engineering. Applicants are encouraged to explore the website for further information about the department’s curricula and members.

Successful applicants will run a top-quality research program, offer undergraduate and graduate courses in industrial engineering & management and data science, and be involved in academic service. Senior candidates must have a demonstrated record of scientific leadership, manifested in an outstanding publication record and success in obtaining external funding. Junior candidates must demonstrate promise towards these achievements.

Applicants should submit a cover letter with complete contact information, detailed curriculum vitae with a list of publications, their best three peer-reviewed published papers or manuscripts currently under review, a research plan, and contact information of three internationally acclaimed references.
