At the cutting edge of industrial engineering research, the department members publish in leading research journals, take part in joint ventures with industry leaders and operate modern laboratories in computerized integrated systems, ERP and information technology. The developed methodologies, some very new in Israel, are taught at both the undergraduate and graduates levels.

Industrial engineering is an integrative state-of-the-art field which is rapidly being recognized as essential for achieving cost-effectiveness and smooth operation to swiftly meet changing markets' needs. The department's alumni are recognized leaders in diverse fields in Israel and abroad.

The Department of Industrial Engineering offers two areas of specialization, reflecting the current interests, courses & knowledge of its faculty members:

Analytics and Optimization Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

The curriculum allows but does not require specialization.  To specialize, a student must take courses in accordance with the relevant requirements and write a thesis or final project in the field of this specialization.
