B.Sc. and M.Sc. (with honors) and a PhD, all in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, with specialization in algebraic structures of codes and fast decoding methods. I spent most of my career in the high-tech industry in Israel and abroad as a scientist and entrepreneur in the fields of communication and signal processing, satellite communication, computer vision, and the development of satellites and space systems. I currently head the university's Space Engineering Center, which serves as an interdisciplinary center for scientific and engineering research in the field of "new space", and for the development of satellites for various scientific missions, such as: cosmic radiation monitoring, advanced communication techniques in unstable satellites, hyperspectral sensing for environmental and climate applications, optical communication, compression and error correction in satellite links, post-quantum cryptography, and the distribution of quantum encryption keys via satellites.

Research
I am involved in research and student supervision in the field of space, in the development of miniaturized space systems, and in the construction and launch of satellites. Other topics in my research area are communication and information theory, classical and quantum error-correcting codes, fast decoding algorithms, compression, graphical representation of encoding and decoding systems, image processing-based tracking systems, post-quantum algebraic cryptography, optical and quantum communications.
