Admission Requirements for Students in the Engineering Year 0 Program

(B.Sc. Integration Track – Engineering)

Admission into the Dual B.Sc. program in Mechanical Engineering and Earth Sciences with a specialization in Environmental Studies (taught in Hebrew) upon completion of Year 0 requires:

  • A minimum average grade of 80

  • No grade lower than 75 in any Year 0 course

  • Successful completion of Ulpan Level Hey (Level 8 out of 9 possible levels)

Mechanical Engineering

Students gain advanced engineering knowledge in areas such as:

  • Strength of materials

  • Fluid dynamics

  • Mechanical Engineering Design

  • Heat transfer

These subjects provide the tools needed to develop advanced engineering solutions and technologies.

Geophysics

Students explore the dynamics of Earth and planetary systems through courses including:

  • Geodynamics

  • Physical oceanography

  • Atmospheric sciences

Hands-On Learning and Research

Through advanced laboratories, research projects, and fieldwork, students acquire practical experience that connects theory with real-world applications.

Students work alongside leading faculty members on dynamic experiments, develop expertise in data-analysis software such as Python and MATLAB, and gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering design and drafting tools.
