TAU Launches Israel’s First Center for AI and Data Science
The institute will be headed by Prof. Meir Feder of the School of Electrical Engineering
Tel Aviv University will launch the new Multidisciplinary Center for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science (DS), headed by Prof. Meir Feder of the Iby and Aladar Fleischman Faculty of Engineering.
The Center will enhance basic research in these areas, encourage multidisciplinary research that uses the most advanced methods of AI and DS, and train a new generation of researchers and industrialists who will take Israel to the forefront of the global AI revolution in coming years.
The world of AI requires new computational power and architecture. It is expected to change the world of computation and become a major consumer of quantum computing, if and when it becomes available. The launching event will take place during TAU's annual AI Week.
