Seamless Shared Urban Mobility

AUTOlab at Tel Aviv University is proud to announce the launch of the Seamless Shared Urban Mobility (SUM) Project funded by Horizon Europe.

25 July 2023
Shared Seamless Urban Mobility

SUM is an international consortium of universities, municipalities, and technology companies working to integrate new shared mobility services with public transportation in 9 European cities that serve as “living labs”. AUTOlab is a founding member of the project, which started in June 2023 and aims to expand to 30 European cities by 2030. SUM will improve intermodality, interconnectivity, sustainability, safety, and resilience in the target transportation systems to offer more convenient, affordable, safe, and environmentally responsible mobility solutions to end users. In particular, AUTOlab’s researchers will develop and apply simulation and optimization techniques to identify ways to integrate isolated neighborhoods into Jerusalem’s public transit network. Together with city government and Sigma6, the lab will examine designs for innovative ride-pooling services.
