M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering

MSc EE
About

Our graduate program in the School of Electrical Engineering reflects the current state of technological research and responds to the needs of the modern hi-tech industry. Our goal is to train researchers, scientists and technological leaders. To this end, the curriculum provides the needed foundations for advanced scientific research towards M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.

The program includes core-layer courses intended to deepen the student’s fundamentals in core subjects (such as quantum-electronics, stochastic processes, advanced mathematical tools), infrastructure-layer courses introducing the advanced fundamentals of the various branches of electrical engineering science, and a layer of specialized courses designed to help the student catch up with the cutting edge of the various electrical engineering technologies.

Students are also encouraged to broaden their scope by attending courses in a variety of subjects taught in the framework of other engineering disciplines and in the faculty of exact sciences.

The School of Engineering offers graduate students a broad choice of specialization areas, including

Communication technologies

Signal Processing

Image Processing and Computer Vision

Control

Computers

Energy and Power

Optics and Electro-optics

Electronic Devices and Materials

Electromagnetism and Radiation

Machine Learning

Alongside the option of focusing on one chosen field, students are encouraged to consider combinations of the above listed areas.

The students, assisted by their advisors, build personal study programs in order to match their particular needs. Several sample programs are presented for each field of study in the School's handbook and website. Takanon
